A small contingency of babes gathered at Jane's house for our February meeting to discuss The Widows of Malabar Hill. We celebrated Galentine's Day and female friendships in addition to eating Indian take-out and sharing diverse opinions about the book. The absent babes were missed - and toasted - and Babe Ellen joined us by Skype for a bit. Looking forward to reading My Own Words by Ruth Bader Ginsburg and gathering together again on March 13th at Dot's house.
Ava, Sue, and Jane traveled to visit our home-bound injured chick, Ellen on Sunday, February 10th to have a mini-meeting as Ellen could not join us for the regularly scheduled get-together. Ava treated us to Indian delicacies, and we had a lively book discussion of The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey. We all agreed that it was fun to learn about 1920's Bombay and Calcutta, but Ava was hoping for a more skillfully told mystery. Ellen we continue to send love and healing wishes your way so that ankle heals quickly!
